Hello art students!
Welcome back to a new school year!
We have been talking about our ‘Mystery Artist’ board in our art lessons. Here is how it works:
- You will see a picture of a famous painting / drawing / sculpture / other type of artwork on the board.
- You will read some clues about the mystery artist.
- You can research these clues on the internet, in the school library, in the art class library or you can talk to your parents at home.
- If you think you know the mystery artist, write your guess on a post-it and pin it on the board. Don’t forget to write your name on it!
- After 1 week, the mystery artist will be revealed…

What I like about Andy Warhol is that he doesn’t only just like art he also likes music and films. In the link it says that he produced 60 films and supported a band called the Velvet Underground. It’s incredible that he could do 3 hard things on the same time.
He was also shot tree times in the chest but was still alive!

Something that was very interesting was that his birth date was never recorded at a hospital. So he liked to change his birthday and make up stories about when he was young when he was doing interviews.

Andy Warhol is a man, Maybe became an artist by being inspired my other artests and when he paint he expresses his feeling while he paints. For me I think he is a good artist. Why he is interesting to me is his paintings have lots of details.
