This week SEK-Qatar has been welcoming families in for parent meetings. It’s a time for teachers and parents to communicate about their student’s progress. Specialists are also available to talk to parents about their student’s academic experience. Parents view Art (as a subject) from a variety of backgrounds. Some remember it fondly, others as a distant memory from their primary school days, and still others may not have had an academic art experience at all. At SEK-Qatar, Visual Art is an essential part of the curriculum because the concepts and skills taught in and through art translate to other subjects and positively impact how students interpret the world.
